Daily drawdown
The most your account may drop in a single day, measured from that day's opening balance. On a $10,000 account at 5%, that day's floor is $500 below the open. If your balance changes on later days, this daily limit is recalculated from each new day's opening balance.
Maximum drawdown
The most it may drop overall, measured from your initial balance — a fixed floor that never moves. On a $10,000 account at 12%, balance must stay above $8,800.
